I don't know if the pollen viability of the tetsukabutos F3 is totally restorated but a lot of fruits have avorted after have started to get fat. Some fruits are fallen with a weight of 300g and probably more.
The fruit of the photo at the post above has also avorted but it was well formed.I yet see a lot of bees in the flowers.

Mica Winnower

Best of luck!

Hopefully you're able to get a good pollination on the F3 Tetsukabuto. This is good data for understanding how the generations from original cross affect the viability of the pollen, even once it is able to make pollen.

Some fruits seem viable.I don't know who are the males parents.I gave make totally trust at the bees this year.

Mica Winnower

Gotta trust that the bees know what they're doing. I love a surprise.

Adrian

One fruit is appeard on the plant ((violina x waltham)f2) x (violina x tetsukabuto) its a great sucess.

Mica Winnower

That's a good looking fruit. It has tetsukabuto as a grandparent, was it able to produce good male flowers?
Do you remember what pollen was used to fertilize the fruit?

Adrian

This plant well produce male flowers.

Unfortunately i don't know if the pollen is of good quality.
I was not here the pollinisation day.
The most probable are a other tetsukabuto F3 or waltham as male.
3 fruits was fallen with a weight > at 500g on this plant.

I well will see what happened if i sow again the seeds the next year.

Adrian

Small update of the project violino rugosa x tetsukabuto f3!

At left i think that the unknow parent is finaly buttercup.
Buttercup x (blue kury x (blue kury x tetsukabuto))
Ar right blue kury
At middle small violina x ( violina x tetsukabuto)

I have make totally trust at the bees this year but tetsukabuto maximoss was grow next to tetsukabuto moschamax.Bees have probably make some strangers mix of pollens this year. They all have able to give male flowers with pollen in in correct quantity.

I opened the fruit (violina x waltham)f2) x (violina x tetsukabuto)
The seeds seems very big.
I have tranferd-it the charasteristics of tetsukabuto in a violina.

The second objective transferd it the blue color of blue kury in a violina.Someone know if its possible?
