Pepper cross

Hi everibody
Someone has a experience with the pepper cross?
I tried my first cross
The flower was emaculated one day before opened and pollinisated a first time with the etamines in the box at the second picture.

How much time must i pollinisated the pistil?
For preservated the pollen can i put a thin water pellicule
in the box?

The cross is between gipsy and petit marseillais

I have discoverd a cool tip: I can hang the pollinique bags of the male variety at the stamens emaculated

Finaly the pistil is becoming black its good sign?
It was pollinisated 4 times on 2 days.

I have tried a third flower.
I have hang two stamens at the pistil
The pollen quantity of two stamens are sufficient for assured-it a pollinisation?

Looks good, Adrian!  I've not done any pepper crosses myself, but it looks like a fruit set.

Petit Marseillais is an excellent pepper.  We've grown it quite a bit here some years ago.  Very early and quite tolerant of cool weather for a pepper.  Nice taste and quality too. 
I have another French sweet pepper this year which is setting loads of lovely peppers, Tres long des Landes. Can't wait to taste them. 

BTW is the Gypsy dehybridized?  because I think that pepper became proprietary with a lot of restrictions on its use? But someone did create a dehybridized OP, I remember reading about it.  So many people were fond of Gypsy and depended on those seeds, until it was bought by the Big Ag.  Just checked, yes, it was a Seminis hybrid, then Seminis was bought by Monsanto in 2005.  And of course Monsanto was later bought by Bayer.  Either way, I believe there might be patents involved.
