Hello everyone! I am a gardener with a small suburban yard and am growing vegetables with the curiosity of seeing how much of my own food I can grow and forage. My favorite crop is corn. I enjoy seeing how the colorful cobs turned out and have been experimenting with wood ash nixtamalization. Other projects include adapting okra to my part of the world, developing high brix pocket melons, and getting the hulless gene into all my pumpkin lines. I have basic knowledge of genetics and can handle academic papers. Looking forward to discussions with you all!
