OSSI GRANTS for INDEPENDENT PLANT BREEDERS

Friends,
OSSI requests proposals for our new grant program, "Independent Plant Breeders Developing Organic-Adapted Open Source Varieties." The grants are designed explicitly for variety development by independent plant breeders. The paperwork is minimal and the use of funds is very flexible.

Good afternoon, Carol. What about US territories? Does your program extend to the US territories, specifically Guam? I can't even access your website from Guam.

USA territories are fine, Alex.

The reason for the restriction of the grants to USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand is not because of geography or climate or predominant language. It's because other places have official government lists or phytosanitary laws that make it illegal for an independent plant breeder or anyone else to introduce and sell their new varieties without paying the government more than most independent plant breeders can afford.
